very happy with a PB, a result of running well and not under any pressure. (I only realised I was on for a 80min time with 2km left to go).
enjoyed a good 3km start and then settled into a race pace out to Victoria park. took a gel here as much for marathon practice and improving the mindset for the headwind return into town. Couldn't lift pace passed the Odyssey and had been passed by too many by City Hall. Hadn't saved much for the only real climb but maintained a good rhythm to the end. took a second gel with 5km to go as I'd carried it around. Definitely a fast course.
