H&D#2 Tollymore Monument Course
slightly modified route from last year with a wee lap of the Monument field before the downhill. Enjoy these fast starts and even the rush of lactic acid that fills the legs hitting the first climb where inevitably I drop places. After the first climb I sat in comfortably running across to the rock, moved up a couple of places and then prepared for the descent. Moved up the gears but bowels weren't happy and eased up passing the pond before the river crossing and then stumbled up the hill finish, lost two places but fortunately not my late heavy lunch!
Will again be tough to get a series category podium finish, scraped a 3rd last year but may have my chance on more of the hill courses this year. Good Thursday night training either way.
