ran well within myself & happy enough with the results. had decided not to race and avoided the huge temptation to push on into top 5 and give emmet some verbal grief as he was faffing about as alex pushed on closing on allan who ran unchallenged. really enjoyed the run and felt relaxed even down the zig zags which i'm sure become more technical year on year.

4th leg from Alan, Paul & Andrew (who all put in the hard work to make it easier for me to run in for the 1st place (Masters) and 6th overall (Open)).
hit the pace i thought i'd get but know there's more within if i want to put in the hard work - but it's just not going to be there after a summer away from the track.

woke up at 10:30am having been up at 5am the previous two mornings and then an interruption in the early hours to give emcampbell a lift to catch the 2:30am bus down to dublin

arrived too late for the yoga class so though i'd try the treadmill on rolling hills, level 8 to check out my foot strike in the windows reflection. felt and looked good for the 20mins. toes were taped and a mid foot strike even at 15km/hr pace for a short while placed no/little pressure on nerve.
