just managed the run to the first checkpoint, was hoping the legs would loosen up a bit more by the time i got into Oxford but even though the pace was good for the whole day i just wasn't comfortable with moving like this for another 10 hours. think i did the right thing by calling it a day. enjoyed the cross country part of the course but now it was just going to be a plod along a well maintained path with no variation in climb.

will upload onto gamin to get actual moving time. started from Kemble train station at 08:30 finished at Bablock Hythe 16:10. got a bit lazy after the long leg into the 3rd checkpoint, got caught by two others which remotivated a solid finish. first 50k flew by, the 50s were a drag but the final 10mile were grand.
