had eased off the running a bit this week in preparation for this race but wasn't as fresh as last week as it's been a very physical week at work. after last weeks dry trails, the forest sections here were damp and dark. could've been more competitive at the start just to open a bit more of a gap on Clive and put some more pressure on Dale but Dale was first into the climb and i didn't catch him and got passed by Clive and Brendan about halfway on the descent before the Drins. was catching up on the climbs but they were descending quicker. was frustrated at this but another top 20 finish and 2nd M35 isn't too bad. next Hill & Dale won't be for a while as I will miss Slieve Martin & Binnian & with no race on the 3rd the next run will be the 17th.
