with time to & from missing control 126 (cp7) taken off, 1:14:51 is disappointing. the excuse of not having orienteered in a while is not a good one. i messed up the first control wasting 5mins, but felt i ran ok to 2 & 3.
4 was higher than i expected but i was too hesistant getting to the circle losing at least another minute. i questioned my hill running fitness en route to 5 & will need to compare splits. 6 was grand. although now removed from results i was happy with my run to both 7 & 8. 9 & 10 were fine. might have taken the wrong route/river crossing to 11. 12 was good enough but 13 was a disaster, wasting another 5mins into control and another minute leaving. ran fairly fast &clean for the remainder of the course.
