DRC Run - no one had stepped up to lead run today, so I did.... luckily had one other to run with.

Favourite route through woods and below Drakestone Point and up to wood yard.

Felt good tonight, other than a very slight twinge in left Achilles

TVOC Regional - Bradenham - Brown

Lovely day for a wonderful run around some lovely woods in The Chilters, well worth the longest drive for a long while.

Performance better today and felt a boit like the normal me i.e. running ok, but very scrappy at times and given there were effective 31 controls (excluding the 4 associated with the road crossings), plenty of toime to get scrappy.

Havoing seen Lawrence satring two minutes before me, I did the same on no.1 as he did i.e. took the safer route around the path - probably too safe, but then aain looking at Richard Barrett's split, possibly not!

Drifted left on next two, hitting path on way to 2, where straight again would be better and caught by young SO lad who started a minute behind me.... then found 4 before 3!!

Settled down after that for a bit - again took the 'too safe' path route to 11, and then did not see bank and Clive caught mme here, wasn't sure if he had found control or not (he had and was going to tell me so, but decided agianst it!!).

First passed Lawrence about no.9, but then kept seeing him going into controls as I was coming out. Didn't see him after 15.

Was with SO lad again at first road crossing and ahead going into no. 22, but then totally switched off for the next 3, not being careful enough on checking compass.

Forgetting the young lads (Will G 40, Adam 42), was 9 mnutes down on the Hallett, Landels, Mawer pack and 2 1/2 down on Richard B, so reasonably happy.

Did I say what a wonderful, lovely wood it was to run around, on a lovely sunny day :-)
