Orienteering 1:32:50 [3] 10.34 km (8:59 / km) +334m 7:44 / km

NGOC League - Huntley - Brown

Another new area - some nice bits, but not big enough for a Brown, so why plan one (particularly as it was only the last couple of years that NGOC added Brown to the League) .

Another depressing performance - lots of hesitancy and mistakes, as well as not being able to run in terrain and having to stop to read map far too often. Big errors into and out of 10 (map seemed odd here) and even bigger one at 18 where saw fence and gate ahead, and thought it was one I had used twice already, so back tracked - didn't see the other part of fence on map!

I have lost my glasses I had been orienteering in and using my normal glasses, which are not great - also possibly now not strong enough to read the map properly.

Time for a visit to opticians for a review of my prescription and then sort out some proper sports glasses with the right strength.

DRC Antelopes Run - 5 out tonight (hurrah!)

From Old Crown in Uley (shame no pub yet) - Nympsfield, Coaley Peak, lower path in Coaley Wood, up to Uley Bury and down to Uley and back along Ewelme River valley.

Lovely to run with company and some new paths for me - plus one heavy snow shower!

Nailsworth Loop, joining up the good off road bits with some small road sections and the old railway path. Trails now very dry and only found one bit of wet mud in Kingscote Woods - good fun.

Came back around Uley Bury to try a slightly different route.

Very cold wind and pretty chilly, but sun was out and stunning views across the Severn to the Back Mountains and Sugar Loaf made up for the cold.

Cycling - Road 1:51:58 [3] 49.62 km (26.6 kph) +371m

Was going to go out on the mountain bike today, but after yesterday and still not feeling great, decided on an easy road ride.

Out to Arlingham via Box Road, Elcote Lane and Frampton and back via Saul, Whitminster, Eastington, Frocester, Coaley and Uley.

A bit breezy, but lovely sunny day.
