Orienteering race 1:03:16 [3] 9.48 km (6:40 / km) +205m 6:01 / km

NGOC Saturday League - Cleeve Hill - Brown

Positives - All parts of legs seemed to hold up ok and only felt the ITB very slightly towards end and orienteering generally ok, although it was quite easy and the mapping of the gorse bushes was spot on

Negatives - Felt weak and feeble (In the words of a certain someone), also fat and very very very unfit...…. been feeling a bit low all week (and therefore eating crap!), so probably a result of that.....

A couple of small errors at 13 and 14 but well down on the winner (Daniel Gardner - 50 mins) and the likes of Richard Mawer, Pete Ward.... also Scott Bailey who is going very well at the moment.

Just hope I can get around four days next weekend (at least the weather forecast is looking rather good)

Running 1:03:42 [3] 8.85 km (7:12 / km) +233m 6:22 / km

BOK Tuesday Night Hobble from Swan @ Swineford

Started off ok up the hill, not feeling too bad, apart from legs still feeling two runs at the weekend. Knee felt a little weak, but nothing worse.

Then as soon as we hit the race course and the downhill after the viewpoint, my ITB in left leg started to complain big time...… this was the issue I had before the Northern Champs and why I was jogging around then.... so after Kelston, I took the short route back to keep Amy company...

I do wonder if the orthotics I have been wearing to sort the misaligned pelvis are causing the ITB issue...… this is very depressing, as they have definitely led to a major improvement with my ankles, which are no longer giving me any issues at all :-(

Orienteering race 1:14:32 [3] 10.68 km (6:59 / km) +163m 6:29 / km

Savernake Forest - Brown

Knee reasonable, apart from I fell and bashed it - no pace and dreadful compass work!! But at least I am running again
