Note
(injured)

Ankle seems to have swollen up a little more this morning, WFH so I have been trying to keep off it - weird that it took so long to swell up!

Orienteering 52:45 [3] 7.5 km (7:02 / km) +126m 6:29 / km

British Relay - M40 - Leg1

Took loads of nurofen before and ankle felt ok in warm up

Started steady - ok to 1, took path to 2 which I think was quicker and was one of first in general area around control, but small miss meant others got ahead - followed Laura Daniel and a couple of other girls out of control, heard a little screech and when got to track they were coming back along - transpires we were all heading to no. 6!!!!

Lost incentive after this and a couple of small misses and poor route choice on long leg meant I lost a little bit more time. Also feeling the ankle a bit,

Maybe should not have run as the ankle is a little bit more swollen now than it was this morning

A miserable end to a pretty miserable weekend all in!!!!!!!!!!!!

Orienteering 1:35:00 [3] 11.9 km (7:59 / km) +259m 7:12 / km

British Orienteering Championships - New Beechenhurst

I was so looking forward to this last year, but what a disaster it turned into

Unfit, felt sick early on, 5/6 minute mistake at number 6 (I was on right line, but stopped one re-entrant short then went around like a headless chicken!!), small mistake at 11, then went over on ankle coming out of 16..... sat down for a couple of minutes and then jogged/walked rest of course!!!!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Positive - ankle does not seem too bad, so hopefully I'll be able to run tomorrow....

Running 56:20 [3] 10.4 km (5:25 / km) +272m 4:47 / km
ahr:154 max:171

Parked at Reybridge - footpath around Camilla's place, along canal, Bowden Hill from North, around back of Bowden Park, Bewley Common, Bowden Hill from west, Naish Hill Farm and down steep lane back to Reybridge

Exploring some new footpaths around Bowden Park - nice route - great views on a clear day (a bit hazy today)

Started off a bit too quickly (or quicker than planned in any case) as a little peeved that Chippenham Harriers seem to have omitted me from the vets team and the men's team (which includes two vets not good enough for the vets team)..... just got to get fitter, stay free of injury to prove the selectors wrong!!
