Running 1:29:45 [2] 12.5 km (7:11 / km) +266m 6:29 / km

November Classic Postponed due to adverse weather conditions - stood at start when it was announced, being entertained by a group of Swedes singing and trying to stay in good humour and being fed chocolate by the start team (or BOK's very own Erinna F-F to be more precise)..... must have been v dificult decision for organising team and first time in 35 years of orienteering I recall an event being cancelled so late (I wasn't at Lakes JK when day 2 was cancelled)

Went for a run with Caroline and Sennen around Hamptworth and adjacent areas..... everywhere was extremely wet.... and had to rescue Sen from a stream when he decided that the foam caused by the rapids looked interesting and he was trying to get out via a steep muddy bank... luckily I managed to get him out with only having to put one leg in water.

Ironically the sun came out during the run..... but snow on the ground in parts of Bath and lots of floods!!

Orienteering race (Urban) 45:41 [4] 10.03 km (4:33 / km)
shoes: Brooks Pure Connect

Southampton Urban Race - Mens Open

Excellent course with short tricky legs at start and some very good route choice legs.....

Took it easy to start just to make sure I was right....

long leg 5-6 - not the best route and ran short distance up a dead end before realising....

No. 9 - misread description and stayed on outside of buliding and then went back out the long way!!

No.10 - got a bit confused when I came out of subways

No.11 Just didn't see control as I approached (it was right in front of me!!)

No. 17 - Didn't read description!!! Guessed it would be inside ruined church (much more interesting) but of course it was outside

Pleased with run..... 8th winner Jonathan Albon 39:38, 2nd Harold Wyber 41:11, 3rd Geoff Ellis 41:13

26 seconds behind Matt Whipple... beat Ben Mby 32 seconds (no making excuses of colds and 3AM drinking sessions!) and Mark Burley by 1:39
