Breaking out trail at Weeks Woods with the big snowshoes. Parts of it had been visited partway through the storm, with other sections untouched since before then. Upper Loop close to the fields was windblown with some great drifts.
Initially thought to do the whole double figure 8 (or is it a double 9?), but ended up with a single full figure eight, hitting the middle part of the lower loop twice in the same direction.

Not too bad once I got going and got blood flowing down to my hands.

Headlamp wander at RV Farms from the Boyd Hill parking lot. First part of the main trails has been solidly boot packed, so got off onto the mtn bike twisty trails as soon as I could. Found some that hadn't been broken out since the last snow, and a few short sections that hadn't been touched at all.
Moon was large, yellow/orange and low to the horizon - got turned around in my head a few times.
Critter tracks were neat - could see where the hidey holes were that the small critters would op out of and dash across to a tree to climb for food, then back to the den.

Banging around RV Farm in the cold most trails have been snowshoed and boot packed, but there's some with enough untouched on the side to bust through powder for the feel of off trail skiing.
Dressed warm enough - glad I slipped hand warmers into my gloves.
