Hard, fast and somewhat sketchy conditions at Gunstock.
Later in the afternoon, temps are dropping a bit, and what had been warm, soft and lumpy, was now cold, hard and lumpy.
Jeff P was rolling into the stadium as I arrived, said Cobble loop was all that was skiable. He'd been doing an out and back - Quiver around to the top of the S curve, then reverse. He had one more to do, so skied with/behind him. Took a bit to get warmed up - uphills were some work.
Down hills were fast, lumpy and exciting.

Weeks woods figure 8 trail. Good snow cover still, snowshoes were probably warranted, but I'd planned to run, so run I did.

Some short sections of ice, but mostly snow in various stages of softness. Ok when I stayed on the harder boot-packed part. One section had water flowing over and through the snow - it was cold.

Saw some fresh boot tracks but no people.

Nice ski at White Farm in Concord. Great snow cover still - varied between solid hard pack and closer to wet and slushy. Only 1 water crossing on the stub trail between the parking lot and the loops.
Wax was still very good for the conditions.
Technique was mostly there - feeling a bit tired from yesterday though.

Run 36:21 [3] 3.45 km (10:33 / km) +51m 9:49 / km
shoes: Salomon Goretex hikers

Blue trail loop from the end of Curtisville Rd. Had my snowshoes, but the couple just getting back in said no need for them.
A few softer spots, particularly on the snowmobile trail, but overall firm enough. Could have used spikes, or studded shoes - realized later I had my old Icebug SISUs in the car. Would have helped with slipping.
