Combined warmup for the sprint and middle, including walk/jog to the middle start - some whining going on by other competitors...

Sprint at Trophy Point. Absolutely awesome event! Well thought out venue and placement of components. Very well organized and rehearsed.
Slow to 1, bobbled on 2 (too high), tentative on 3, then flowed better. Physical not where I'd like it to be, but not disgraceful...

Middle distance race from the Ski slope. Warmed up a bit, but didn't effect me too much. Had 2 of us starting at the same time on Green-Y, handled very smoothly - "would one of you mind waiting a minute to start?" other guy said OK, and I was off. Ok, but slow to 1, slower to 2 angling up the hill and workign my way through a crowd of interscholastics who seemed unsure of where they were and where they wanted to go. Off to the right a bit on 3, minimal time lost. left of the line to 4 instead of to the right as I'd planned, but not a problem. Had to stop short to 6 to check out another control that i knew wasn't mine, then to 8 didn't realize there was an uncrossable fience until I was almost on it. Dead-on to 9, seeing a lot of folks looking around up high as I came in - I could see the control, was concerned it might be 10 and I'd need to climb up, but my gut and the map said I was right, and I was. Back across the ski slope again, fun run in downhill.
Nice O team old fart reunion with Bob Keyser '78, Bob Rush '78 and Gary Klaben '79. Spent a lot of time bringing up war stories of the many memorable team experiences.
All extremely impressed with the current state of the team and the program.
I've got to reach out to my classmates and see how many of them I can convince to show up next year.
