HIKE (mt. baden powell) 5:36:46 [3] 13.5 mi (24:57 / mi) +3800ft 19:42 / mi

hiked vincent gap to mt. baden powell summit, and then to Islip Saddle on the PCT. this was not a loop but a shuttle. started around 9:15am and finished around 4p. the time above does not include rest and lunch, etc... 90% of the elevation was in the first 3.25mi. the mileage did me in. ended up with a bruised toe nail on right foot and a couple of blisters on the left. the last couple of miles were quite painful. had a blast with good crew (david z., david m., danica, and G).

rode blackstar with G after work. he flew up the trail and i barely got glimpses of him after the first couple of miles. when he reached the top, i still had at least another mile to go. he came down to meet me and we rode up together. gate-to-gate: 1h21min, lots of room for improvement there. we caught up to 3 guys on the way down and apparently, one of them couldn't stand to be passed by a girl so he raced me all the way to the car.
