MOUNTAIN BIKING (bommer, el-moro & laguna ) 2:45:00 [3] 19.4 mi (7.1 mph) +3100ft
weight:107lbs shoes: santa cruz blur

fun, friendly, and chatty ride with the girls (mo, lois, doris, & lani) and david. we started from shady canyon, got onto bommer, up to el moro (ridge park entrance), down lizard, over to laguna wilderness, up willow, laurel, stage coach, then serrano ridge and quail trail back to parking. couldn't believe i've never ridden lizard before, what an awesome singletrack.

forgot garmin at home, got data from lois strava.

RUN (HB) 36:47 [3] 4.48 mi (8:13 / mi) +52ft 8:07 / mi
ahr:163 max:185

first day back from a week in VA. took our time in the morning and started later than usual. ran barefoot on wet sand. HR was all over the place for the first mile and then it became more steady thereafter. felt really good on this run, beautiful day out. we saw a huge grey whale jumping out of the water a few times, not far from shore. he was pretty close to a couple of lucky surfers. the dolphins were hanging out with him. it was almost surreal. what a way to end 2013, perfect.
