started this run early in the morning, 10miler, 5 out and back. this was the first leg. ran faster than i meant to but legs felt good. need to make a point to warm up slower next time.

rested for a few minutes and then started 2nd leg of morning run, much slower.

took the old schwinn out for a casual beach ride with G. summer is definitely here. the beach was crowded, good band @ main st., great start for 4th of july celebration. biked around, grabbed dinner, and rode back.

warm up run. legs were tired and beat up, low in energy, most likely due to liquid diet which i started today. stomach is feeling much better though.

stretched out the legs and back, too tight. got in some core workout as well.

warm up and then 4 sets of:

7min climb on high gear
2 x 90seconds sprint with 30seconds recovery

all done out of the saddle, then cool down

super busy & stressful day, finally managed to get in a run late in the day, soon after dinner. stomach wasn't happy about it. felt tired. wanted to do a 60min run but stopped half way through.

continued to walk @ fairly brisk pace with some incline immediately after run. stomach started to feel better and better. finished @ 9:30pm.

thoughts during walk/run tonight: will do a 2-day liquid fast to clear out toxins in the body starting tomorrow. i've been trying to eat right but with continuing house guests for the past month, i failed miserably. stomach is feeling the pain from it all. i think this fast will help a lot.

intervals, same as last week but felt a bit harder:
10min warm up, 2x3min @ 7.3mph w/ 2min taper, 1x3min @ 7.4mph w/ 2min taper, and 1x5min @ 7.5mph. does not include 3min walk to cool down.

took it slow and steady, training the body to burn fat efficiently. felt pretty good.

SWIM (24hr lakeshore) 40:00 [3] 1.0 mi (40:01 / mi)

shared outer lane with G. it was apparent i hadn't been in the water for a long while. lost both shoulders and lats strength. felt it most acutely when using paddles. need to make mental note to swim more.

16x100m, mix free and with paddles
