Note

i'm feeling a bit melancholy today. perhaps it was instigated by wendi's email or maybe because it is friday and the weekend is looming, time to slow down and breathe. whatever the cause, i can't seem to put the laptop down and go for a jog or a swim. we're heading to idyllwild tomorrow to ride and camp, but my heart is really not into it. i would rather spend the weekend lounging at the beach, read a book, dip in the water when the sun gets too hot. but G is adamant about it and so we're going.

ran w/out the ipod so i could listen to my steps. tried to run quiet, light, and on ball of feet. fought strong head wind on the way back. what a gorgeous day, love this temperature!

this was a long run for the treadmill but surprisingly enjoyable, is that even possible? a little wobbly at the very beginning but legs warmed up and i felt great.
