wanted to put some mileage on the bike before next weekend trip. haven't ridden in ages! gorgeous day, could see catalina clearly, breezy w/ temps in the 80's, loved it! we took off from top of the ridge, went down to the bottom of i think i can, then back up it, down BFI, and back up it, all the way to the top of the ridge. felt good the entire ride.

legs were super heavy with calf pain for most of the run, even after warm up. HR was high for the pace, had to walk in between the last couple of miles to bring it down. don't know what was wrong with me!

got back from vacation late last night. felt well rested but gained at least 4 lbs from non-stop chow down and not enough exercise. as fun as last week had been, am glad to be back home and return to daily routine again.

ran on the treadmill before spin. legs felt really good. no shin splints!
