felt good in the water today, probably fastest swim in a long time. still need to work more on form, especially keeping right arm up while taking a breath.

i locked the keys in the truck after bike ride. while G rode bike home to get another set of keys, i went into the Y and knocked out a run which i originally planned to do much later in the day. started with a 5min walk on the treadie, than up it between 5.8 and 6.7mph for 30min. pain was manageable in lower right leg. it lessened the longer i ran. cool down with a 5min walk. i'm going to keep running on the treadie, boring i know, and keep off hard surfaces, until the pain goes away.

leisurely rode G's beach cruiser around the backbay while he ran it. gorgeous day, crisp cold fresh air, sunshine, and white snow on mountain tops, loved it!

upper body workout with weights, some leg too, but not much.

brenda was out, had substitute. she was really good. broke out in a sweat within minutes of warming up, intervals, stayed mostly in zone 2 and 3.

i'm so excited i had to jot this down right away. i ran today, well more like a slow jog, but nonetheless, it happened.

started out with a walk on the treadie for 5min w/ 1.5incline, i then up it to 5mph, the sharp pain returned but i hung on, after a couple of minutes, the pain was manageable, so i kept at it and slowly up the speed to 6mph. the longer i ran, the better the leg felt. didn't want to push the progress, so i kept it steady at 6mph for 30min, than slowed down to a walk for 5min.

iced the leg as soon as i got home. now, there is no pain!

waited until late in the evening to go to 24hr, hoping to find a lane but the pool was packed. headed over to the y and their pool was WIDE open. tried to warm up but never felt like i did. got kicked out after only 35min. they closed @ 9:30p.

good session, sweated buckets, tried to keep rpm high.

made several efforts to run on the treadie before spin but couldn't even keep it going for more than a minute at a time. had sharp pain on the inside of the lower right leg again *sigh*.
