core and upper body workout, using ball and weights.

MOUNTAIN BIKING (blackstar) 1:00:00 [3] 7.0 mi (7.0 mph) +950ft

attempted to ride blackstar in the rain. got half way to the ball and could not go further. our tires were caked with 3-4 inches of mud. we had to stop multiple times to clean the mud off our bikes just so we could keep rolling. it felt like the brakes were on the entire time. going down was just as fun as up, the tires spat bullets of mud into the air everywhere, and it appeared our faces were the primary target.

ran in the drizzles this morning. i love this cool weather, bring it on! got in a bit of hills in preparation for muddy buddy. haven't ran on trails/hills since forever. man, have i been missing out! there's definitely room for improvement here. pace was slow but glad to see ahr under 170.

finally caught up on my sleep. felt good today, not sleepy or tired like the past few days. made it to the pool by late afternoon. it was practically empty, yes!

legs felt very good on this run. breathing was at steady the entire time, no hard efforts. heart rate was sporadic and super high (peeked @ 193) for a few minutes at the beginning of 2nd mile, very strange. ran with a heartburn. chest felt compressed with the heart rate monitor on.

had a very busy/stressful day yesterday, tried hard to meet a deadline and got it done. stayed up late and barely got any sleep.

ran intervals on treadmill. felt really good for 2miles, 3rd mile was work.

repeat (3min @ 7mph with 1min rest @ 6.5mph) for 25min

quads were hurting today. we did a mix of hill climbs and intervals.

parked in the wrong garage and the gym wouldn't validate it. had to pay over 12 bucks for 2hr parking, crazy!
