Note

it has been a very strange week. work was insane and the pressure won't let up until oct. 1st, that is if i can meet the deadline. greg's back gave out almost 2 weeks ago. it was really bad this time. he could barely walk for the first couple of days, then he had to use crutches but couldn't stand, walk, or even sit for long. it was taxing on the both of us. i could feel it eating him away even though he tried to stay in good spirit. he missed almost a week of work. he's finally up and walking now. back is no longer croaked, been to the chiro a bunch of times. all of this had greatly affected my workout routine. i felt guilty, though it didn't make sense, to go out and do stuff, when G was pinned to the bed, so i didn't, and worked and worked like mad instead.

we're going to do an easy mountain bike ride today, G's first in 2 weeks. as for me, i NEED to get back out there. my mind need a break, not just my body.

MOUNTAIN BIKING (chino hills) 1:26:19 [3] 9.37 mi (6.5 mph) +1326ft
ahr:136 max:166 shoes: santa cruz blur

it had been years since i last rode chino hills. some things were exactly as i remembered them; like the dried tall grass, the endless fire roads, and the barely tolerable heat. in fact, it was so hot that i felt sick and had to take my helmet off for the remainder of the climb. that hadn't happened to me in a long time.

STRENGTH (home) 30:00 [2]

worked on core and upper body using dumb bells and ball.
