G & i decided late friday night to join the gang (winston, lois, mo, stacy, maurice, and nino). rode at nino's pace while he trained for an adventure race. he was towing his disabled daughter (add'tl 150lb) up blackstar. had a lot of fun yapping with everybody and goofing around. banked a few extra miles by doing big loops and messed around at beek's place. repeatedly sprinted to catch up to the fast folks and then turned around and rode with nino. danced to dido's "everything to lose" on the way down. oh, and saw 2 peacocks (1 male & 1 female). they were wobbling up the fire road like they owned it. anyone looking for their missing pet birds?

note: estimated miles and elevation. did not bring garmin.

got home from vegas late last night. was tired this morning. skipped masters swim. hope to make it up this afternoon.

ran for 20min before spin. felt really good. wish i had time to run at least another mile.

went to noon session with brenda. felt strong today. did a few extra credits but should have pushed it more for a harder workout.

this was a warm up run before spin. wanted to do a steady 30min but did not have enough time. felt good overall. did not push it.

sweaty workout session as usual, glad i came. music for the first 15 minutes was pretty bad but it got better. kept up with the program but did not do anything extra.

met up with G after work to ride the Luge. we parked @ cook's and rode up santiago canyon to the trailhead. legs felt strong and lungs were big. i was surprised considering i ran and spin earlier today. about 3/4 of the way to the flag, Greg's chain broke. we stopped a while to fix it. G had his tools with him. we then rode the rest of the way to the flag and immediately went down the Luge without stopping to goof around (like usual). made it through all technical parts of the Luge. balance was right on today.

recorded time included the stop we spent fixing the broken chain.

woke up tired, did not feel like going to masters. megan substituded for carrie. we worked mainly on strengthening our kicks.
