worked on upper body strength, core, biceps, triceps, and shoulders. arms are feeling it from yesterday's swim.

had good sleep, needed it! woke up with tight lower back.

went to pool after breakfast. loved the salt water. shared lane with G. had great day. swam first 500 ever and felt like i could go for more.

5x50 warm up/drills, 10x100 with fins, 500 with fins, 100, 3x50 cool down

it has been a stressful week and sporadic sleep. hope to make it all up this weekend with steady workouts and good deep sleep.

went to masters without breakfast, did not have time, work work work. only a handful of ppl showed up this morning, had a lane all to myself. we worked on IM, concentrating on fly (i suck!). was cold for the first 15min but warmed up nicely thereafter. stayed an extra 10min to cool down.

warmed up for 10min @ 10min/mile, then 3x5min @ 9:05min/mile with 90sec easy run in between, 2min cool down @ 10min/mile. legs felt good. breathing was also good. will try to break 9min/mile next time.

it was a fair day in the pool this morning, not crowded, and a little bit cold at first. arms weren't tired by the paddles but legs felt heavy, must be from yesterday's workout. breathing was good. felt like i can do 200 comfortably now. we'll see.

9x50 drills, 10x100 with paddles and fins (mostly 15sec rest in between), and 50 cool down

brought G's hr monitor strap to the gym by mistake, couldn't get any worthwhile data. legs were definitely back. felt strong. need to up the speed for next run. started warm up at 10min/mil (6mile/min) for 10min, then 5x3min @ 9:13min/mile (6.5mile/min) with 60sec easy run in between, 1min cool down.

went to the noon class, first one in this time slot since december. aki kept us going at a decent pace, but not as hard as thurs session. legs felt good after the run. left knee had slight discomfort, but not too bad.

didn't get much sleep, worked most of the night. decided to skip masters this morning.
