SNOWBOARD (mammoth) 3:30:00 [3]
shoes: burton feelgood

slept in bishop and had a great sleep at lower elevation. jumped on the lift by 9am. the day was perfect, the snow, the weather, everything. boarded chair 8, 25, 5, and 3. did upper and lower dry creek several times. the top was finally opened around 11:30. took the gondola up and made it down climax before calling it a day. climax had never been easier. the snow was awesome. legs felt a bit worked by end but what a great day. did not board with I & N, it was just G and I, like old times, so fun! we quit around noon, to head out early. masters swim is tomorrow. i don't know what to expect and wanted to be fresh and not sleep deprived.

SNOWBOARD (mammoth) 5:30:00 [3]
shoes: burton feelgood

early drive to mammoth. traffic was light and the sunrise was perfect. mammoth was a blanket of whiteness, the whitest i've seen this season in the sierra, so beautiful.

morning session was rough. snow was deep but wet and heavy, nothing like vail. we were truly spoiled by vail. parked at eagle lodge (where all the beginners were, should never do that again!) there were tons of people everywhere. the lift line at eagle was long. boarding was terrible. had a hard time turning and keeping the nose of the board up. G moved back the binding during lunch. the 2nd half of the day was a complete 180, we stayed away from the bottom lodges where the lines were long. moving back the binding helped tremendously.

woke up this AM with sore lower back, what is going on? stretched. got G to massage lower back. applied heat pad overnight. it did the trick! went to sleep early, need to wake up at 2:30am for drive to mammoth.

STRENGTH 20:00 [1]

tried to stretch lower back and legs
Did 150 crunches, curls, worked triceps, and a little shoulder.
