ran with G barefoot on the sand at HB. Legs felt great, strong, no pain whatsoever. breathing was good. ran at pace that was comfortable but faster than usual. did not push it at all. weather was perfect, not to cold, not too hot. the waves were rough, no one was surfing.

rode G's bike to the gym in order to leave car at home for m&d, but by the time i got to the gym, i realized i had the car keys in my pocket. rode home to drop off keys and then rode back to the gym, all the while panicking that i probably would not make the cut for spin class. all went well, there were plenty of passes for the class. felt tired during spin, didn't push it, took it as a recovery ride. went home after spin, didn't lift.

ate too much desert lately, need to work on nutrition, starting today. no more carb late at night!

drove G's truck to the gym about 20 minutes before spin class but was too late, got on waiting list and did not get in. ended up running on treadmill. ran first 1.5 mile at 10min/mile, ran 1.5 mile at 9:50min/mile. felt pain on right knee during last mile or so but not too bad.

stretched legs and arms before lifting. body felt limber. lower back felt good.

4 sets on triceps and 4 sets of curls. also worked on back shoulder.

picked G up from work to ride Whiting, started out at rock garden, up mustard, down cactus and out. trails were very muddy, totally worked over, especially the rock garden. i'm surprised the park was open. legs felt good, breathing was steady, but balance was off, picked poor lines, definitely need to get on the bike more often! otherwise, the park was gorgeous. everything was green. there were no sand ditches anywhere.

m&d took the car today. rode G's beach cruiser to the gym. ran on the treadmill, started out slow 10min/mile for the 1st mile. felt a little sluggish. kept same pace for 2nd mile, legs warmed up and felt much better. breathing was steady and not labored. on 3rd mile, begun to move up the pace, gradually and toping off at 8.57 min/mile.

stretched legs and arms on pad for a few minutes. lower back felt tight.

STRENGTH 20:00 [1]

worked on upper body strength with a little more weight than usual.

tried to make it to the gym a couple of times but couldn't. m&d are here for visit. it's all good. quality time with family is more important.

had hours to kill before the bus pickup for denver, went to the avon rec center to do some laps in the pool. great facility, water tempertature was just right. swam with G & David. the boys really enjoyed the big/fast water slide. soaked in jaccuzzi for a few minutes.
spent the rest of the day on bus and plane. bus ride was pure torture. note to self, fly into eagle next time, forget the bus!
