Had a cold, but felt, oddly, alright. Until I started running. Gusty wind didn't help either. Went through first mile in 6.50 and knew already I wasn't keeping that pace up for long. Relaxed a bit for the (less windy) out-and-back section, hitting 7.10 splits. But after about mile 8, among all the little hills, it just became endurance pure and simple. Mile splits for 9 and 10 were the slowest, 7.34 and 35 respectively. Worst thing was even slowing down didn't make it easier. Disappointing. Blaming the infection.
