Post-op rehab steps up a gear. Entered the epic brown as I knew I wouldn't be competitive and I like running over Devil's Dyke, even if I'm actually walking uphill most of the time. Was careless for 2, 4 and 5 and dimly aware there was something wrong with my right shoe. Turned the wrong way at the bottom of the steep hill after 7 and missed the small path that went straight to 9. Leg 10 was the crux and I sort of opted to go over, but halfway decided down and round might have been better as control was so far under the escarpment. Went straight down and then contoured to 11, but it was here I realised sole was coming off my inov8. Thankfully 13 - 18 were relatively fast running and easier nav. I should have been able to get going here but I was severely hampered by a tight chest, and it finally dawned that here was the problem I've been having with parkrun. Something (eyedrops? just lack of training?) was restricting my capacity to get down oxygen. This needs serious attention before I improve further, but at least I might have cracked the problem. Had thought 90 mins would be a good time so was pleased with 94, lack of bad errors, and ability to keep it up on a tough course for so long. A good morning.
