Although I visited all the controls, I apparently did not punch the water control - nullifying a pretty good run for me. I (would have) beaten all the men on Brown (M-65, M-70) and all but two of the women. Very disappointing.

Nice day in the woods. Steep & rocky but fair courses in mostly white woods. Did a 180 on #5 - amazing, another 180 after 30 plus years. It was a short control (150m) and I threw a bearing on it and ran, the wrong way. After that I slowed down and took more care. A so-so effort at best, but good family company. I am tired, however and I wonder about next weekend's ultra long.
