Nice day in the woods. Steep & rocky but fair courses in mostly white woods. Did a 180 on #5 - amazing, another 180 after 30 plus years. It was a short control (150m) and I threw a bearing on it and ran, the wrong way. After that I slowed down and took more care. A so-so effort at best, but good family company. I am tired, however and I wonder about next weekend's ultra long.

Wandered, walking & jogging. Accidentally stopped Garmin once. Experimented with pace, find: jog @ 11mpm, walk @ 16mpm and can do a half & half indefinitely.

Rather than say 10 min. of core-stretch, 10 min. of Stairmaster, 25 min. of weight-strength, I think I will just do this for now. The new facility is truly beautiful and inspirational. All glass all around, new machines and a killer Stairmaster. Plus a conversation about orienteering with the Women's BB coach - she informed me that "someone" (she thought it was the cross-country coach) is introducing the sport at Swarthmore and that they could use help. Gave her e-mail address & DVOA's website.

Swarthmore College has a brand new workout facility with all new machines. Fiddled with them. Need to figure out reps/weight and so forth.
