Bill Snyder Highway Half Marathon. Basically drive out to the intersection of I-70 and KS-177 (Coach Bill Snyder Highway) and then run back to Bill Snyder Family Stadium in town. Needless to say I did no prior training for this, but the shirt is bomb. Very deliberately held myself back at what turned out to be exactly 10:00/mile for much the way (minus some bursts of adrenaline and downhills) and tried to maintain my heart rate below 160 the whole way- which I did a good job of until late in the game.

Despite being sick, and despite my body starting to protest around mile 9 or 10, I had a blast. This reminded me why I love running.
