Orienteering race (Middle Distance) 34:26 [5] **** 5.8 km (5:56 / km) +180m 5:08 / km
spiked:6/13c shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280s

Club Event at Osgiliath. Won by 4:14 over Tim Robertson. Didn't have very flash navigation but picked it up a bit at the end.
1 Got slowed in the crap before the control and then ended up too far to the right. Should have kept to the left and stayed in the less bumpy contours.
2 Rechecked my map too much, should have just been confident and gone strait to where I though it was, instead of just inching forward.
3 Got pushed to the right going through the middle block of forest, and again not confident.
8 Should have stayed on with my plan and kept pushing forward instead of going over the hill which slowed me.
10 Stopped to early, same with 12
11 Should have cut into forest earlier. ran all the way to clearing

I have decided to be particularly harsh on myself now with navigation which explains the low percentage of spiked controls.

Ran from Tims house at the Potluck with Tim up Speedys Stream near Kelson. Fell in the river a lot, Tim fucked the topo map by dropping it in the river, climbed a huge waterfall and tried to catch some monster eels. Got to farmland after 1:30:00 of stumbling up the river and ran home. Then had to sneak through some peoples properties on the way back
