Fin o-teknisk trening med Paul og andre FROL o løpere på Børsåsen. Vi hadde postplukk, korridorer og en vegvalg korridor. Jeg sprang ganske bra men jeg hadde noen bom. På den 6. jeg var for langt til høyre, for lav på den 15. og for langt til høyre på den 22. så jeg hadde en stor bom på den 23. En liten bom på 25 også.

Good orienteering training with Paul and other FROL orienteers at Børsåsen. We had control picking, corridors and a routechoice corridor. I ran quite well but I had some mistakes. On 6 I was too far right, too low on 15 and too far right on 22, so I had a big mistake on the 23rd. A small mistake on 25 also.

Paul og jeg sprang en veldig vanskelig løypa på Garnes uten poster i mørket. Det var postplukk i et området med mye detaljer. Jeg tror jeg sprang ganske bra, selv om jeg fant ikke 3 poster. På 7. og 11. jeg var mye for lav, og jeg trodde jeg fant 15, men det var faktisk 16! De neste 2 postene var litt vanskelig etter det. På 5., 20., 24., 35. og 40. jeg var veldig usikker, men selv om jeg hadde mange bom det var en bra treningsøkt.

Paul and I ran a very difficult course at Garnes in the dark without controls. It was control picking in an area with lots of detail. I think I ran quite well, even though I did not find 3 controls. On 7 and 11 I was too low, and I thought I found 15, but it was actually 16! The next two controls were a bit difficult after that. On 5, 20, 24, 35 and 40 I was really unsure, but even though I had lots of mistakes it was a good training session.

Intervaller igjen med Anton. Det samme drag som de siste to gangene, men min mage var dårlig igjen så jeg sprang ikke på toppfart. Jeg vet ikke hvorfor min mage er dårlig når jeg spring bakke intervaller men det er ikke bra.

Intervals again with Anton. The same efforts as the last two times, but my stomach was bad again so I did not run full intensity. I don’t know why my stomach is bad when I have hill reps but its not good.

Ganske vanskelig trening på Blommen. I den første korridoren had jeg dårlig retning men bestandsgrensene var veldig gammle og dårlig å bruke. Post plukken var bra, bare 2 var dårlig fordi jeg stoppet litt for tidlig. Andre korridoren var bra, og kurvetreningen var bra også. På 17 var kartet kjempe dårlig, og 19 var grønt men jeg stopped for tidlig.

Pretty difficult training at Blommen. In the first corridor I had bad direction but the vegetation boundaries were very old and bad to use. The control picking was good, on 2 was bad because I stopped a bit short. The second corridor was good, and the countour only section went well too. On 17 the map was really bad, and 19 was quite green, but I stopped short.

Styrke trening i aktivetslære. Jeg hadde 15 forskjellige øvelser og litt tøying etterpå.

Jeg laget en fint løypa på Marka men jeg glemt mitt kompass og det var for vanskelig uten kompasset i mørket. Jeg sprang bakke intervaller, 5 drag, hver ca. 5 minutter. Det var litt snø så det var ganske tungt.

I made a nice course at Marka but I forgot my compass and it was too difficult without the compass in the dark. I ran hill intervals instead, 5 efforts, each about 5 minutes. There was a bit of snow so it was quite tough.

Jeg gikk på ski igjen, og gikk lengere enn siste gang. Ganske bra, men jeg er litt støl etterpå.

I skied again, and went further than last time. Quite good, but I am a bit sore afterwards.

Bakke intervaller med Anton igjen, jeg var litt syk i min mage men jeg sprang hele økten.

Jeg sprang en løype på Kvinnfjellet, et kart fra 1992. Jeg var for rask da jeg planla løype og den var for lett. Jeg var litt usikkert hvor bra kartet ville være etter 20 år. Jeg sprang ganske rolig. Det har ikke vært en kjempe bra helga for trening, men i morgen skal det bli fint.

I ran a course on Kvinnfjellet, a map from 1992. I planned the course too fast and it was a bit easy. I was a bit unsure how good the map would be after 20 years. I ran quite cruisy. It hasn’t been an amazing weekend for training, but tomorrow should be good.

I ran to the ski hut to get dinner from Arne and Gunhild. It was not fun running back when I was full.

I dag hadde vi styrke trening i aktivetslære. Jeg hadde 15 forskjellige øvelser og litt tøying etterpå.

Today we had strength training in Avtivetslære. I had 15 different exercises and some stretching afterwards.

En time rolig løping i Volhaugen. Starten var litt sakte fordi det var mye uten stier, men etter jeg kom på stiene det var fint.

An hour easy running in Volhaugen. The start was a bit slow because there was lots without tracks, but after I was on the tracks it was fine.

Jeg sprang til huset til Johannes og så rundt Vola. Det var kjempe fint fordi snøen var veldig hard så jeg sprang snøen, ikke i den. Jeg så nordlys da jeg løpe og jeg hadde god fart også, så det var en fint økt.

I ran to Johannes’ house and then around Vola. It was very good because the snow was very hard so I ran on the snow, not in it. I saw the northern lights as I was running and I had good speed for also, so it was a good session.

Bakkeintervaller med Anton igjen, men denne gangen hadde vi lengere drag enn siste uke så den var bedre. Jeg tror hvis jeg løper denne økten hver tirsdag til april bli jeg i god form.

Hill intervals with Anton again, but this time we had longer efforts than last week so it was better. I think if I run this session each Tuesday until April my speed and strength will improve a lot.

En langtur med Anton igjen. Starten var litt uvanlig, men det var en bra langtur. Vi sprang opp Vola uten sti fra skihytta og på Volhaugen litt mer og så hjem.

A long run with Anton again. The start was a bit unusual, but it was a good long run. We ran up Vola from the Ski Hut and in Volhaugen a bit more and then home.

I dag sprang jeg en løype Arne laget på Garnes. Det er et vanskelig kart, men jeg hadde kontroll og derfor nesten ingen bom. Bare på 10. hvor jeg så Arne og han distraherte meg. Du kunne si det var en bom på 9. men jeg tror ikke det. Det er mye for vanskelig å treffe posten når du har ingen detaljer før posten, og hvis du spring sakte å være forsiktig jeg tror ikke du har mer sjanse til å treffe posten. Hva jeg gjorde var å bruke mitt kompass og ha en bra retning og bare spring og se meg rundt. Så når jeg traff stien bak posten, jeg vet å løpe til venstre hvis det er grønt foran, eller til høyre hvis det er hvite, og så tilbake i skogen. Jeg tror det er like raskt som å løpe forsiktig. Hva tror andre folk om denne posten?
Kartet var litt vanskelig å forstå når jeg leste den små detaljene, men det var ganske bra. Neste trening her: Natt uten poster.

Today I ran a course Arne made at Garnes. It is a difficult map, but I had control and therefore almost no mistakes. Only on 10 where I saw Arne and he distracted me. You could say it was a mistake on 9 but I don’t think so. It is much too difficult to hit the control when you have no details before the control, and if you run slowly to be careful I don’t think you have more chance of hitting the control. What I did was to use my compass and have a good direction, and just run and look around. So when I hit the track behind the control, I know to run to the left if it is green in front, or to the right if it is white, and then back into the forest. I think it is as fast as running carefully. What do other people think about this control?
The map was a bit difficult to understand when I read the small details, but it was quite good. Next training here: Night without controls.

Jeg har vært ganske sliten onsdag og torsdag men i dag sprang jeg og det var ganske bra, men ikke så langt som jeg ville ha likt.

I have been quite exhausted Wednesday and Thursday but today I ran and it was quite good, but not as long as I would have liked.

Jeg sprang intervaller med Anton og andre o løpere på veiene med bakker. Økten var 20 minutter oppvarming først, så 8 x 2-3 minutt drag, med circa 1 minutt pause mellom hver. I de første 5 intervallene var jeg ikke sikkert hvor jeg skulle løpe så jeg kunne ikke spring veldig raskt (jeg måtte løpe på Antons fart). På de siste 3 intervallene visste jeg hvor jeg skulle løpe, så de var fint. Det var ganske varmt, og jeg kunne spring med bare en skjorte.

I ran intervals with Anton and other orienteers on the roads with hills. The session was 20 min warm up first, then 8 x 2-3 min efforts, with about 1 min break between each. In the first 5 intervals I was not sure where to run so I could not run very fast (I had to run at Anton’s speed). For the last 3 intervals I knew, so they were good. It was quite warm, and I could run with only a shirt.

Jeg sprang ei orienteringsløype på Verdalsøra. Det var ganske lett og kjedelig fordi jeg laget treningen, og jeg visste all veivalgene. Også, det var veldig glatt på grunn av isen. Jeg kunne ikke spring til noen steder, fordi de var privat, og jeg sprang rundt fjellene av snø. 1:20 bom på 16.

I ran an orienteering course at Verdalsøra. It was quite easy and boring because I made the training, and I knew all the route-choices. Also, it was very slippery from all the ice. I could not run to some places, because they were private, and I ran around the mountains of snow.

I ran a pretty cruisy long run in Volhaugen, and ran to Høgkammen, and then without tracks in the forest.

Ikke så mye snø i skogen nå, takk regn. Jeg sprang til Haukåvatnet, og så den vanlige stien til Månetoppen og hjem.

Not so much snow in the forest now, thanks rain. I ran to Haukåvatnet, and then the normal track to Månetoppen and home.

Ganske mye snø i skogen så jeg sprang på veiene, men det var veldig mye is på veiene. Løping nedover var litt sakte, og jeg sprang på veier med mye snø to ganger også.

Quite a lot of snow in the forest so I ran on the roads, but there was very much ice on the roads. Running downhill was a bit slow, and I ran on roads with lots of snow twice also.

Jeg gikk på ski på Marka igjen, men denne gangen det var i dagen. Snøen var ikke så rask som siste gang men det var ganske glatt på oppoverbakkene. Min bein er litt støle etterpå.

I skied at Marka again, but this time it was in the day. The snow was not so fast as last time but it was quite slippery on the uphills. My legs are a bit sore afterwards.

Jeg sprang intervaller på Volhaugen men fordi der var så mye snø måtte jeg løpe i sporene fra snøskuter så det var ikke et stor område å løpe i. Jeg sprang 4 x 5 minutt intervaller med circa 1.5 minutter kvile mellom.

I ran intervals in Volhaugen but because there was so much snow I had to run in the tracks from a snow-scooter so it was not a large area to run in. I ran 4 x 5 minute intervals with about 1.5 minutes rest between.

Jeg gikk på ski på Marka i mørket, og det var mye mer artig enn siste gang fordi jeg var ikke trøtt og snøen var gode å gå på ski på.

I skied at Marka in the dark, and it was much more fun than last time because I wasn’t tired and the snow was good to ski on.
