Jeg har ikke kartet for denne trening men jeg sprang til Vådalmarka og gjorde 5 km orientering. Jeg kunne si at jeg ‘sprang’ men det var så mye snø det var ikke faktisk løping heletiden.

I do not have the map for this training but I ran to Vådalmarka and did 5 km of orientering. I could say I ‘ran’ but there was so much snow it wasn’t actually running all the time.

Fordi det er for mye snø i skogen for løping, Kjetil og jeg sprang på veiene. Det var ganske kjedelig men jeg tror jeg må lære å like det, fordi det er en lang tid før vinteren er ferdig...

Because there is too much snow in the forest for running, Kjetil and I ran on the roads. It was quite boring but I think I must learn to like it, because it is a long time before winter is over…

Julelangtur i dag, i mye snø. Det var veldig fysisk fordi vi sprang opp på Vola, men det var artig å løpe ned. Det var bare kaos.

Christmas long run today, in heaps of snow. It was very physical because we ran up Vola, but it was fun to run down. It was just chaos.

En kort orienteringstrening på Åsakammen sammen med Kjetil. På grunn av snøen, sprang vi sammen, og vi orienterte annet hvert strekk. Jeg hadde en liten bom på 2 og 12 (jeg så ikke stien og prøvde å løpe langs kraftlinje).

A short orienteering training at Åsakammen together with Kjetil. Because of the snow, we ran together, with me orienteering each second control. I had a small mistake on 2 and 12 (I did not see the track and tried to run along the powerline.

Intervaller med Kjetil igjen, men denne gang sprang vi 2 x 10 minutt intervaller i terreng.

Intervals with Kjetil again, but this time we ran 2 x 10 minute intervals in terrain.

Min andre gang på ski, og jeg tror jeg er litt bedre. Jeg gikk lengre i dag, men jeg var litt for trøtt og der var mer is så det var ikke like artig som siste gang.

My second time on skis, and I think I am a bit better. I skied further today, but I was a bit too tired and there was more ice so it was not as fun as last time.

Jeg sprang orienteering på Ramsåsen med Kjetil, og hadde den største bommen på 6. Det var ganske vanskelig i mørket.

I ran orienteering at Ramsåsen with Kjetil, and had the biggest mistake on 6. It was difficult in the dark.

Note

Jeg prøvde å ski i dag. Det var gankse artig men også vanskelig. Jeg må gå mye på ski nå, så jeg er bra nok å ski for trening når der er for mye snø på Volhaugen for løping.

I tried to ski today. It was quite fun but also difficult. I must ski much now, so I am good enough to ski for training when there is too much snow in Volhaugen for running.

Kjetil er hjem for jul og vi sprang intervaller i snøen i dag. 5 minuter intervaller, 5 ganger. Den siste intervaller var mest artig fordi vi sprang uten stier. Jeg var litt trøtt etter synfaring i dag, men når vi startet glemte jeg det snart.

Kjetil is home for Christmas and we ran intervals in the snow today. 5 minute intervals, 5 times. The last interval was the most fun becuase we ran without tracks.I was a bit tired before, after fieldworking today, but when we started that was soon forgotten.

Mye snø i dag for min langtur på Volhaugen men det var veldig artig. Jeg sprang med bare lys fra månen i noen deler og jeg hadde god fart gjennom snøen.

Much snow today for my long run in Volhaugen but it was very fun. I ran with only light from the moon in some parts and I had good speed through the snow.

Vi hadde litt snø i dag så Paul og jeg sprang ikke intervaller sammen. Jeg sprang til Vådalsmarka men det var ganske glatt på isen under snøen så det var ikke veldig artig.

We had a bit of snow today so Paul and I did not run intervals together. I ran to Vådalsmarka but it was quite slippery on the ice under the snow so it was not very fun.

I dag hadde jeg et fellesstart løp med FROL IL løpere. Det var ganske bra, jeg hadde nesten ingen bom, men jeg var litt trøtt. Jeg sprang avslappet i den først delen, men jeg hadde ingen bom og jeg ledet på 14. Jeg hadde en liten bom på 19, jeg trodde det var en sti, men det var faktisk en skrent. Det var 20 sekunder. Jeg var bra etter 19, men jeg hadde litt dårlig veivalg på 4 og 25. Den siste posten var en feil, så vi stoppet dit. Jeg var andre til 30, men bare fordi Lars sprang til venstre men jeg sprang rett fram. Jeg ferdig andre bak Ulf.

Today I had a mass start race with FROL IL orienteers. It was quite good, I had almost no mistakes, but I was a bit tired. I ran relaxed I the dirst part, but I had no mistakes and I was leading at 14. I had a small mistake on 19, I thought it was a track, but it was actually a cliff. That was 20 seconds. I was good after 19, but I had slightly bad route-choices on 4 and 25. The last control was wrong, so we stopped there. I was second to 30, but only because Lars ran to the left and I ran straight. I finished second behind Ulf.

Jeg sprang en langtur med Anton med mye uten stier. Det er ikke veldig kaldt nå, men jeg var veldig tørst etter rundt en time.

I ran a long run with Anton with much without tracks. It is not very now, but I was very thirsty after about 1 hour.

På Steinkjer hadde jeg en maks O2-test og det var ikke så vanskelig som jeg trodde. Først sprang jeg oppvarming på friidrettshallen og så tok jeg testen. Jeg måtte puste i en maske og hadde en bøyle på min nese så jeg kunne bare puste gjennom munnen. Det var veldig varmt i romet også, jeg har ikke sprunget når det er varmt for en lang stund! Etter på sprang jeg nedvarming på friidrettshallen igjen. I testen, jeg hadde å løp på tredemølle med stigning 10.5%, og hver 30 sekunder var det målinger og kanskje farten bli økt. Jeg sprang for 2 minuter/4 målinger på toppfarten (13.5 km/h). Min maksimal oksygenopptak var 67.4. Jeg tror jeg skal ta testen igjen før Junior VM neste år.

At Steinkjer I had a VO2 max test and it was not as tough as I thought. First I ran a warm up on the indoor athletics track and then the test. I had to breath into a mask and had a peg over my nose so I only breathed with my mouth. It was very warm in the room also; I have not ran when it is warm for a long time! Afterwards I ran a warm down on the indoor athletics track again. In the test, I had to run on a treadmill with a gradient of 10.5%, and each 30 seconds measurements were taken and maybe the speed was increased. I ran for 2 minutes/4 measurements at the top sped (13.5 km/h). My VO2 max was 67.4. I think I will take the test again before JWOC next year.

Intervaller med FROL på Steinkjer friidrettshall. Oppvarming, da 4 x 8 minut intervaller med 2 minuter kvile mellom. Hver gang sprang vi rundt 2 km. Ganske artig.

Intervals with FROL at Steinkjer indoor athletics track. Warm up, then 4 x 8 minute intervals with 2 minutes rest between. Each time we ran around 2 km. Quite fun.

I dag hadde Paul og jeg «Ramsåsen Race Simulation». Det var en downhill mellom distanse. Vi sprang et opp varmingskart først, og jeg startet løpet først. Jeg sprang bra men hadde 57 sekunder bom til sammen. Det var ei artig løype og også ganske fysisk hardt. Paul var 29’.

Today Paul and I had the “Ramsåsen Race Simulation”. It was a downhill middle distance. We ran a warm-up map first, and I started the race first. I ran well but had 57 seconds of mistakes. It was a fun course and also quite physical. Paul was 29’.

Fordi Paul og jeg trent ikke intervallene jeg laget for onsdag, jeg sprang løypa i dag. Det var veldig artig og jeg bare hadde bom på 2 og på linjene. Først sprang jeg 5 km til starten og så sprang jeg intervallene @4. Kvile mellom intervallene på linjene var @3. Etter på sprang jeg hjem ned den hoved veien på Volhaugen kartet. Jeg hadde den beste veivalg på post 1. Hvis du har en venstre/høyre veivalg, det beste vei er rett frem. Også sprang jeg med nye sko, VJ Bold. De var veldig bra.

Because Paul and I did not train the intervals I made for Wednesday, I ran the course today. It was very fun and I only had mistakes on 2 and on the lines. First I ran 5km to the start and then I ran the intervals @4. Rest between the intervals on the lines was @3. Afterwards I ran home down the main road on the Volhaugen map. I had the best route-choice on control 1. If you have a left/right route-choice, the best way is straight. Also, I ran with new shoes, VJ Bold. They were very good.

Jeg startet å løp en langtur, men jeg føltes ikke for å løp så langt, så jeg sprang bakk intervaller opp Vola. 5 intervaller, ganske kort, men jeg sprang fort.

I started to run a long run, but I did not feel like running so long, so I ran hill intervals up Vola. 5 intervals, quite short, but I ran fast.

Jeg sprang til Vådalmarka og det var så kaldt at det hadde blitt is på Leklemsvann og biler hadde vært på det! Men det er bare en vanlig dag her.

I ran to Vådalmarka and it was so cold that Leklemsvann had frozen and cars had been on it! But that is only a normal day here.

Jeg sprang til Blommen kartet og sprang en vanlig løype, 8 km. Det var veldig kaldt og min klær frøs til is! Også jeg sprang ikke med O-sko, så det var ganske glatt på isen.

I ran to the Blommen map and ran a normal course, 8 km. it was very cold and my clothes froze! Also, I did not run with orienteering shoes, so it was quite slippery on the ice.

Anton og jeg hadde trening på Ramsåsen igjen. Først, 2 km av post plukke for opp varming (det var -17°C, så det var viktig!), så vegvalg intervaller. Jeg hadde små bom på 26, 33 og 35. Jeg var ikke trøtt etter på, selv om vi hadde 2 timer av løping i terreng. Det føltes ikke som jeg hadde trent.

Anton and I had training at Ramsåsen again. First, 2 km of control picking for warm up (it was -17°C, so it was important!), then route-choice intervals. I had small mistakes on 26, 33 and 35. I was not tired afterwards, even though we had 2 hours of running in terrain. It felt like I had not even been training.
