o-training 1:00:00 [4] *** 2.5 km (24:00 / km)
spiked:11/11c

So we started with about a 1.5 km warm up. Then I think brent spread us us out about a minute apart at the start for are test race. uummm so I did okay I got tired easy which I think was because of the sun. It was so hot! The orienteering was pretty easy. There were controls that were super easy and some were hard. The control hanger put one control in a raspberry bush.

o-training 1:00:00 [4] ** 6.0 km (10:00 / km)
spiked:16/23c

So Brent had two maps for us. The first you had to do by map memoire. So at the start you looked at the map and memoirzed the first leg. When you got to the first contorl there were be a little peice of the map show just the next leg nothing else. If you got lost or forgot you had to go back. I did pretty good didn't have any problems. The second map was a mass sprint start. We waited for everyone at every 4 controls.

meet 38:00 [3] ** 2.9 km (13:06 / km)
spiked:11/11c

So we had a meet and I decided to run intermediate. It was really easy but I made a few stupied mistakes because I wanted to try and talk a harder route. It was on the yukon college map but in porter creek by a park with hills.

Training was on the war eagle map. We orienteered around pumphouse lake.Brent had three things to think about. 1) image the control circle. 2) safe route. 3) control description. So Brent forgot the maps so we started at 7:30 and ended around 8:45. I had no problems with any of the control exept for one and that was 13. I tried to find the tip of the spur on the trail and go off it but I didn't and went in to early. After awhile I figured I was lost and was about to bail when I found the only boulder out there and relocated and found the control. I walked most of it and I found out a new feature on the map I have never seen before or heard of, it was a penstock.
