Orienteering warm up/down (SN Hindhead) 17:17 [2] 2.0 km (8:39 / km)
shoes: Oroc 340

Quite a long jog from parking to assembly and then on to the start at least allowed for a decent warm up.

Orienteering (SN Hindhead) 1:30:01 [4] 13.0 km (6:55 / km) +480m 5:51 / km
slept:6.0 shoes: Oroc 340

Another ok run. Ran up - Black course. Lots of climb on the course, and muddy, with brashings on forest floor in places and heather on some of the common, so quite a physical challenge, but great to have the challenge. Felt quite strong - kept running up all the hills, even when probably no slower to walk up at times! Not bad after annual wine-fest dinner went quite late the night before. Two or three times slightly off line coming into the circle, leading to small but annoying errors, and once distracted by a fellow competitor and headed out of a control 45 degrees out of line. Will add more thoughts after seeing the results.

Right calf stiff after 20 mins or so. Didn't really hamper progress too much, but quite stiff later in the afternoon and evening. Eased a little with icing.

swimming (Virgin Active Notting Hil) 20:00 [3]

Felt good. 8 x 40m (need to check this distance - felt more like 36m) fastest times 31-32 secs.

swimming (Virgin Active Aldersgate) 20:00 [3]

Felt good. Stroke a bit short but felt like there was momentum through the water. More straight leg kicking and bum up seems to be working!

Fastest 40m legs ~35 secs.
