Trail run 16:00 [2] 2.0 mi (8:00 / mi)

Orienteering race 32:40 [4] *** 4.2 km (7:47 / km) +155m 6:34 / km
spiked:15/20c

Nice course but map was not consistent in places and some features were left out that should be put on. Solid run but hesitations and mistakes on #4, #6, #9, #17, and #18 for about 3 minutes loss. Was possible to run under 30 minutes. Faster just to redeam men's pride by beating Ali by 18 seconds :) She is becoming really good athlete! Need more wood training for WMOC! Mapping today was better but inconsistent and couple unmapped features threw me off, ex. approach to #4 area and unmapped boulders/rock face to #6 not to mention mapped 0.3m invisible boulders and sporadic green. And #17 was a boulder (of proper 1m size) not cliff :o

Trail run 20:00 [2] 2.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

Orienteering race 1:30:16 [3] *** 12.2 km (7:24 / km) +100m 7:06 / km
spiked:10/16c

Some hesitation and inevitable losses due to map interpretation on first loop of about 3 minutes before the spectator control (#1, #6, #8 - all due to mapping on approach to controls) but #10 (sic!), #11, and #14 were disastrous for another 5-6 minutes of loss. That flat area was "fantasy" land. Should be more agressive and straight there and not pay too much attention to the map. Lost 8 seconds to Mikell Platt and almost 5 minutes to speeding Speedy. It was possible to run under 1:20 with clean execution and better mapping.

Trail run 25:00 [2] 3.0 mi (8:20 / mi)

Warmup for the sprint

Orienteering race 18:17 [4] *** 3.1 km (5:54 / km) +105m 5:03 / km
spiked:20/20c

Sprint at University of West Georgia. Best time on Red course. Could do it under 18 with better execution but never ~17:30 as top USA blue boys. Too old for that :(
