What a epic day riding with 2 other Greg's, Wayne, Leonard, Art, Royce, and Brad. Started off from hotel for a quick warm up 4 miles to coffee shop to meet the rest of the crew. Then the ride began, after climbing for about 3 miles we ran into no road. The was washed out from the heavy rains the past couple years, so we had to carry our bikes down dirt, rocks a through a creek and back up the other side. Well we all made it with no issues. Onto Gibraltar, first time climbing this road, sure glad it was cool and low clouds with some light fog to keep us cool. I pretty much road up with Brad that weights 25-30 pounds less than me. I was able to work in the sweet spot for 310 watt avg going up. We then rode on another rode out 8 miles and back with about 1200ft of climbing, then back around with some more climbing for about 6-8 miles before making our decent toward Goleta. We then rode through Hope Ranch and stopped off for some cookies and lemonade. All in all the ride was very nice and I'm sure glad it was cool outside.

legs felt good this morning, ate something yesterday that made me very gassy and my stomach really began to feel bad toward the end of last intervals. I do notice its hard to get your power up to the required level so I started going above it to try and get the average. Didn't feel hard until the last set.

well this was my first over and under interval training, shows I need a lot of work and need to get stronger in the mind when it gets tough. However I just couldn't generate power on the vo2s, my legs are to tired from running yesterday. I will see if my body can adapt to these workouts and if I struggle again I will have to adjust weights and running so I can get much needed gains from this training.
