MTBO race 1:39:38 [4] 27.78 km (3:35 / km) +505m 3:17 / km

Vic MTBO Champs Long. Another 4th, probably worst Champs I've had for a few years. Was catching NZ Dave K until 7-8 when I took an unmapped track and lost a couple of minutes. Then executed 8-9 plan very poorly losing another couple of minutes. Didn't see better routes to 10 and 11. Stopped and gave myself a talking to and some water and gel at 11, cost a little more time but helped motivate to get to the end.

I'm sure the weekend will motivate me to be better prepared for Qld.

Vic MTBO Champs Sprint race. Finished 3rd, poor navigation to 2 probably cost most of the difference to 1st.

Not sure mapper should be competing?

More training and some kg loss required.

Vic MTBO Champs Middle race. Finished 4th, on same time as NZ Dave K. Lots of stopping to check tracks/junctions to 1, not enough stopping to check on way to 6 but worked ok, wrong track near 7 but only minor time loss before realised, didn't plan well to 11.

Again not fit enough to compete with new M50's.

Park final short course. OK run. One wrong turn, went about 20-30 m wrong way. Not fast enough.
