Wallaroo - Rocky Ridges
A bit sloppy on direction a few times and knee still not feeling that good for running in the bush. Managed running in the clearer sections, careful walking through the rocks. Think it’s improving still.
1. Short walk along road to orient map and self, then straight.
2. Straight out to track junction, short detour down wrong track, along correct track to rubbish, straight, missed creek, too far south and too far into rocks, back track higher up.
3. Straight to track junction, followed NE minor track for bit, straight from track bend.
4. Through white gap in light green to creek, straight.
5. Down to track, along to major tree root mound, straight, little hard to judge where hit the marsh/creek but was on line.
6. Straight, was too far SW when reached watercourse but control visible not too far north.
7. Contour NW of rocky ground, past 3, straight up to track/fence, follow creek down on W of green.
8. Contour around in white to track bend, down to main watercourse, across, along track a little, up to track, contour around into creek.
9. Headed off the wrong way on bearing 10-9, ground quickly didn’t match so stopped, went the correct way, up creek for a little and then straight, too far S so N along contour.
10. Straight.
11. Down to track on N of creek, along track to next creek, W of creek to control.
12. Straight until track, track around and up to rock line, straight.
13. Straight, part way came across some rock and decided I must have been a littleN and missed creek gully and was now on next ridge line, went down gully to my E, no control, decided had been on correct line so back W.
14. Straight.
15. Straight, at about right distance stopped and luckily saw control 30m to W.
16. Straight.
