HV Schools Orienteering Champs. Lots of wondering around “assisting” students. Probably out for about 3 hours. No injuries and only one pair needed to be found after the morning event.

NOY 4 at Balikera Quarry. Good running as all green areas haven’t fully recovered from last fires.
Knee was feeling sore when I woke up so went via chemist for some Voltaren. Worked well as moved ok and not that sore after.
No real errors but still a long way from Burgo.
1. Tapes to triangle. Straight picking up minor track when it was close to line.
2. Straight, was slightly S of line, saw Tinytoes heading toward same control so deviated a little N into watercourse.
3. Aimed toward E track junction S of Control, straight N.
4. Straight
5. Planning route to 6 on way up to 4 and then headed out of 4 towards 6. Realised just befor crossed creek with 5 so not much lost, little climb back up.
6. Straightish, no problems with creek junction, hill top and car wreck on the line.
7. Straight, climb a bit of a scramble.
8. Up to top, along to s bend in track, aimed S around dark green but not far enough on first line, bit further S much easier.
9. Up bank, straight.
10. Straight, through track junction, aimed little W, stop few seconds to make fit when got to circle, E into control.
11. Straightish, though track junction, surprised by height of bank when got there.
12. Straightish, slightly to E, S along creek.
F. Straight, was a poor decision, green was still green and required lots of zigzagging to get through.
