Out at Killingworth at the end of the work day and just happened to have a bike in the car so stopped for a ride around Barnsley tracks. Tried to follow the "yellow" loop. Only a couple of missed turns.

Lunch time touch football game. Uni has closed all the nearby fields for annual maintenance so we had to play in our rabbit hole riddled open space. First 5 minutes was trying to level out the worst of them. Game involved keeping an eye on the ball, the holes in the ground and the angry lapwings that must have an egg or chick somewhere nearby.

Hunter Valley Champs on new map at Wallaroo "Rocky Ridges". No real errors, just slow. Missed white I was aiming for from 2 to 3 so ended up going slow in green for longer than planned. Took long track option from 8 to 9, not sure if it was a good choice. Caught and passed by Rob V between 9 and 10 but got back past him at 11 and stayed in front to finish.

Ride at Glenrock with Greg B mapping and checking for MTBO map and taking some video and photos for promo. Nice day for a ride. Found a track I've never seen before.

Out for about 2 hours but lots of stopping.

Hopefully meeting with NP this week and can allay some of their concerns. Last discussion was little concerning re restrictions. "You want to have a MTB event in a MTB park. There'll likely be people riding there when you want to."

Late night at work so slept in and lazed around a little. Easy ride down Fernleigh and back.

Found a baby long neck turtle sitting in the middle of the track on the way south, moved him off and he was back there on the way north again, moved him off again and watch him run away.

State League - Miners Despair. Hard day. No execution errors, perhaps some route choices might have been better. Slow going with thick vegetation, lots of fallen timber, lots of rock and plenty of hills.

First state league this year. Boxvale Tramway. Knee still not happy, external and internal Voltaren didn't seem to help.

Slow going the whole time. Don't think I had any clean legs, though only probably 2 where I was really poor. IJ caught me at 10 and leapfrogged until about 20 where it became more open for running and he got away.

Control 2 on termite mound bounced around off a few termite mounds in area, possibly hit the one directly under the line which I didn't see, need GPS to tell. Control 18, difficult following minor track across creek and down rock face, then left track too early and ended up in thicker green, tempted in by seeing IJ.

Orienteering minor event at Fairley Dams. Poor effort, probably best forgotten about.

Rushing to get there after Fathers Day morning tea. Too much to eat. Wasn't switched on. Picked up the wrong control descriptions. Extra long course threw me, picked up the second descriptions along assuming hard medium as usual. Didn't know this until control 4 as first 3 common.

1-followed tape, turned off too early near marshy area, south through bush, spotted control too west.
2-straight
3-taped route to track, west a little on track, straight to car wreck/control
4-straight until track, west along track to fence, fence to corner, west to control.
This is where confusion started, number and description didn't match, plenty of dry ditches to match description but no controls. Expanded search a little found control with correct number for 4. Doesn't seem right place, explore a bit more. Finally unfold control descriptions and discover wrong ones. Back to control 4 and then 5 on map.
6-tracks past east of dam, straight across grass to thickets.
7-tracks until close to control, spot from track
8-straight
9-left 8 heading south, should have been going north, came to a track before creek which wasn't expecting so stopped and checked, map 180, turned, straight back past 8 and straight to 9.
10-straight, picked up minor track for a bit then along line of rock
11-straight, down and up
12-straight, slightly confused by fairly well defined track that's not mapped, missed control to east by bit and stopped at next line of rock, spotted control and back up.
13-straightish, contour to creek, up steep hill, past top of creeks and down 3rd.
14-along contour to track, straight down to rock line, 20 m west, along to control
15-straightish, on track for short distance, follow vague track and ditch to control
16-straight until last north south track, minor/vague track, north into control.
17-straight, onto minor track, around to control, seemed too easy for hard course and without descriptions assumed mine would be more difficult, spent some time looking in area, had a look at hard short course and descriptions, finally punched and moved on.
18-track, then tapes
19-up edge creek
20-straight
21-taped route, veer off at control
F-taped route

Motivation diminished after each error, walked in the last few.
