Orienteering race 1:12:00 [3] 5.0 km (14:24 / km) +300m 11:05 / km
My R-hamstring was really sore after 2 races yesterday - sitting on the ride home felt like the end of a 10 hour drive as soon as I sat down, and 3 advil kept it quiet only until ~3am, when another sticker and 1 advil were used through 7.
And yet I still started a BAOC Red today. 72 minutes later I was done, including lots of slow, cow-hooved sidehills, and modest climb that didn't feel great. And then... leg was pretty good. Not sore in car, or at lunch, or walking around a bit after (we'll see the next few days...)
Current (hopeful) theory - long runs (slow or fast) seem to help? (Today, and for 3+ days after the Ugly Mudder, and recovering after the 2 hour easy run. And even Jackie's hamstring getting notably better shortly after (painfully) running the Key West 1/2 mar.)
