AM w/Ori & her friend, while AJ & Angelica raced a 5k. AJ beat mom head-to-head - but she ran slow enough, that he didn't beat her best-this-year - which is what he needs to do for the $200 prize money... 3 more weeks for him to beat 22:22.

Course was apparently 4.88km, per gmap pedeomter (4.92-4.95 via GPS)

R-hip flexor pretty sore during a run w/AJ & Andrew. Higher than normal pos. for Salon Pas tape also seemed to cause some skin irritation so took that off (wore only just before to just after the run.)

Leg seemingly better this evening. Put SalonPas tape a bit lower than pain-point, on Quad, maybe that helped? Or something else/time?

Also, for the record, I am on Excedrin for a headache, so maybe that helped too. I recall trying 600mg IB at some point a few days ago, and that didn't seem to help. But it was some pretty old Ibuprofin...

Happy the sharp pains that almost knocked me down in the kitchen once each on the past two evenings have settled a bit. Still feeling the leg, esp. during the run (where the warm-up helps offset the pain tweaks, but the leg's really dragging...) - but fortunately a little better.

I think sitting in a tight seat on planes for 7 hours after last Sunday's race really allowed something to knot, ball and/or swell up...

@ Standing desk all day today, in hopes that less time sitting will help.

AM Misery & Joy. On the back side of misery, the R-leg (hip flexor down to knee) really started to suck - a few semi-sharp pains radiating down from the hip that then turned to ache. Sucks this ain't recovering nearly as quick as before.
