Orienteering race 1:20:09 [4] 12.8 km (6:16 / km) +480m 5:16 / km
ahr:167 max:175 shoes: O-VJ Integrator Cleats

Hammered first half (175 HR), slow 3rd qtr (163 HR), picked up end (passing Tom Carr - 170 HR). Very clean. And this training thing seems to be working because that earned a 2nd place...

Orienteering race (Sprint) 15:30 [4] *** 2.63 km (5:54 / km)
ahr:171 max:183

Hammered the Sprint as much as a slightly warmed up, post-Blue body would allow. Got really tired about 10 minutes in, which means I was running okay. And my hamstring is upset this evening, so I think I pushed enough... Still got creamed by Erin Shirm (sp?) That guy can run...

Running 8:00 [2] 1.0 mi (8:00 / mi) +1m 7:59 / mi
shoes: O-VJ Integrator Cleats

Only a little warmup, negigible cooldown ("bad", says my hamstring.)

Running 34:29 [2] 5.12 km (6:44 / km)
ahr:130 max:143 slept:10.0 shoes: R-Nike Blue & White

After last night's Migraine, & it's effects on lunch and dinner (i.e. almost nutritional input since the VF Goat 1 time trial), I had a big breakfast, and hour & a half to digest, and then was hoping to complete a 90 minute run (vs. 2.5hr planned pre-Migraine). Got to 25-30 minutes when low-blood-sugar (or something like that) really hit me. So I jogged back to the car. On a positive note, I found http://www.natlands.org/preserves/preserve.asp?fld... enitrely by accident.

Orienteering tempo 1:10:30 [4] 13.0 km (5:25 / km) +200m 5:02 / km
shoes: O' Black/Orange VJ Twisters

10am Time-trial Tempo run @ VF Goat 1 course. Aiming for 60-something, but didn't make it - still, I was faster than both January attempts.

I was getting nauseated by the end - thought it was because I was getting sick (Angelica's had some cold/sick/Spring-allergy? thing going on), but perhaps I was overheated. At about 3-4pm I had to bail on work because the Migraine was beating the 3 Excedrin. Dark room, tried to sleep, eventuall threw up once. Better by ~2am.

Appparently I need to take the warmer weather more seriously - drink & eletroltye more (today I had 1 Dr. Pepper and a few drinking fountain sips before and after the time trial.) Dress less - e.g. shorts & gaiters would've been fine. And perhaps even drop a cold Gatorade at the halfway point of this run...

Running warm up/down 30:00 [2] 3.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: O' Black/Orange VJ Twisters

Oh, and I tore the front off my last pair of O'-shoes today - on the cooldown thankfully, but I'm down from 2 pairs (1-hybrid) to 0 pairs of spiked O'shoes in the past 2 weeks.

Running long (Paved, dirt trails) 2:24:00 [2] 25.04 km (5:45 / km) +100m 5:38 / km
ahr:135 shoes: R-NB Grey Shoes

Schwenksville city park on Perk. trail (playground) to home, 1-way. Got Mt. Dew @ Wawa at ~45 minutes - with their 'blink' pay I was in & out of the store for less than 30 seconds... Was getting a little achy/tired and then got Gatorade @ ~1:45, and that got me the rest of the way. Was really having fun crusing along after the 2 hour mark on trails. My R-achilles was basically fine, competing with my left hamstring for a little attention, but not slowing me down. I may try light speedwork on Tuesday.
