Orienteering long (Slow rerun) 1:35:00 [2] ** 11.0 km (8:38 / km) +100m 8:16 / km
spiked:13/15c shoes: O-Mixed purple & black

Rerun of part of Valley Goat. Skipped 12, 13 & 14 due to stiltgrass. No point in impaling myself while alone in the forest. It was getting a bit dark for forest running by the end, and my right knee was achy, so I bailed. Knee's fine now, not sure why it was upset.
Really smacked my left foot at one point - I think these shoes are old and offer little protection, and I pushed hard off what I thought was flattish ground but turned out to be a 1-2" rock in the middle of my left foot. A little ankle compression too. After 2-3 minutes it wasn't hurting much any more, and it's fine now (the next day) but it felt pretty close to doing some lasting damage.

Orienteering (Trails, fields, forest, r) 50:00 [2] ** 6.0 km (8:20 / km) +80m 7:49 / km

Scouting/course planning for Sprint @ Willows. Looks like a fun little venue. The map's not professionally made, but there is plenty of information on the map to navigate by, and it's got some fun variety.

Running (Trails, grass, forest) 45:00 [2] * 4.5 mi (10:00 / mi) +70m 9:32 / mi
shoes: R-Reebok White/Gray/Red

Did a little scouting for a potential July 3 Sprint at VF Mt. Joy. The forest stiltgrass is really unpleasant though for a Sprint, so maybe we'll aim somewhere more urban.
