Hmm need to check where the race is pror to leaving as you don't just find these places by accident - oops

Orienteering race (Imperial Park O) 28:27 [5]
shoes: Sauconys Guide 4s

Bugger - not settled at the start, didn't adjust to scale (1:3000) and so overshot was convinced I'd been lied to by another competitor but revisited the site after and no I'm just crap! Even with this error I should have taken a deep breath and reset but no I flapped and made a 30-40 second error into a 4 minute 1km loop around the building and in thrugh another entrance.... stupid

After that was clean through the hard bit where most people screwed it up - was fairly competitive on most splits, possibly a bit slow speed wise as wasn't pushing it known I'd blown it and a 20 second route choice error later, so actually fairly good. In fact without the 4min error should ahve finished in the top 3 again.... which just makes it worse.

Dunce corner for Dan

Home from race, easy cruise due to duff breaks and was passed by Ollie going across Holloway Rd, still not sure how I stayed ahead of him for so long as my route was duff

Running race (Finsbury Parkrun) 19:21 [4] 5.0 km (3:52 / km)
shoes: Sauconys Guide 4s

Hungover parkrun as usual - this one seemed worse than normal though, probably as I wasn't as pissed as normal as had taken it kind of easy the night before....

Still went off hard but wasn't that focussed so ran round with Rob Patterson who came in one place up on me and with a PB.

Probably could of held him if I'd wanted as although I was running hard and feeling rough, did feel within my leg capability which was good.

Next stop sober parkrun....

From work to the race in primrose hill - back brake locked on so harder work than it should have

Orienteering race (Primrose Hill Park Race) 21:07 [3] *** 4.5 km (4:42 / km) +80m 4:19 / km
shoes: Saucony Peregrine

Damn good use of the area, well mapped at ISSOM 1:4:000 made it technical - went off early and it was hot!

Hit it hard and took my minute and two minute man by No.5 - next person was Ollie 4minute start on me and took him by 13 - happy with that.

Fairly clean only wobbles but blew No23 by 40 seconds by convincing myself that it was the bin - it wasn't- frustrating as 7 seconds down on 4th place 6 down on HWW and 7 down on Brooner! Potentially could have taken Ed down without this also!

But hey this is orienteering

Good run, very tight at the top

Cycling 19:04 [3]

Smashed it from pub home beat Jayne and Nick home by nearly half an hour - boom!
