Note

Brill weekend planning next season with the national team! Really enjoyed seeing everyone and got a good balance of meetings, training and general chat.

Holme Fell training. Happy again with feeling in foot but such bad fitness... Also going off line too easily. Partly direction and partly planning.

Graythwaite. Watching footing carefully but no problems. Slow, great orienteering til i stopped at 5 and came out of focus for a few. Feat. most blatant eyetouch of the year.

All the bike options had technical problems this morning. Im not good enough at fixing anything to do it in the short time window. Feeling v miserable for a while at the prospect of more turbo but then thought bugger it i'll go running (was meant to be saving it for this evening). Also thought its about time i tried something a bit harder now the heel has settled again, so mini session of 10x60/30. Ran from the golf course, intervals on the moor after wyming brook. Not quite firing on all cylinders yet but progress, feel more like myself on terrain and paths now :-)

Night-O on haverthwaite. Not particularly adviseable after this morning so just grannied about v slowly watching footing. No problems with that but too little concentration on where i was going. Scrappy on most and one huge miss on the last.

Burbage from fox house. Made it over to surprise view for the first time. Not many km for your effort round there (slippery gritstone blocks with bracken). Enjoyed it. Out a few min longer but a bit stop start on the roughest bits.

Havent had the best feeling in my foot after all the dancing at the weekend but it felt better today.

Not quite the run i planned, it turns out one does not simply catch a bus to lodge moor (still not got round to fixing my bike). So rivelin top path from crosspool out past wyming brook and back to the golf course.tired from weights and generally, but enjoyable enough.
