Fylingdales from red gates. Still snow cover, lucky to have a guardian sheep to leave prints along the path to Louven howe or i might still be out there (also it had uncovered the Jugger Howe Dead Sheep, which stopped me stepping in it, good work). Thought the forest road from there might be well tracked but only one ski track (?!!) and everyone knows you dont run in the ski tracks. So deep snow most of the way back too.

Back roads, where there was the most sensible surface, then clifftops saltwick to abbey, then back through town. Low capacity again but fine to run easy.

About an hour after i planned, was about to leave when work kicked off... Lots of wading through slush.

Fylingdales, sunset and probably the most snow ive run in all winter. So my route took a bit longer than it should, ended up in some quite heavy going.

Again, felt a lot better on the second run. Mostly along the front towards sandsend, big waves. Then back through town.

Consulted Sarah R. and the plan is that i should cut my training to 10hrs per week for two weeks provisionally, to make sure i can counteract any general undereating. Never fun to have to do this but if the way to excellence is going to mean extra rest and lots of food for a bit, this is just what i shall have to do...

So i only ran once, from Bay up to ravenscar on the cinder track.
