Attempt at the long distance, some problems putting enough fuel in the tank again this weekend and no fight left to see it out :-( same old.

Morning jog with Fanni. Felt like my brain had to force out every stride manually, maybe managed to dig deeper than i thought yesterday after all!

Middle race. Ended up doing a floating face down starfish in a really deep marsh about 300m in and by the time i'd wiggled out on my front i was a bit traumatised and didnt get my act together until the last bit of the course. Not a great run but felt like valuable learning!

Sprint race. Bit of a crap start where i cut about 1m short of the zebra crossing and knew straight away it was OOB, had to declare it but tried to put it behind me and try to get stuck into the rest of the race. Not feeling like i had the confidence with the orienteering to get the most out of my legs and dropped some careless seconds, so not mega pleased but at least quite a lot of sprint coming up now to race myself back into it

slept most of the morning, had a sharp headache but it went away later so went to the treadmill for punishment/concentrating on technique

bit chaotic today, woke up late then massive amount of work to finish before packing up stuff again, so the whole day got shunted back a bit. just drills and strides at the track, too stressed for much else.
